Billing and Insurance at Shinjuku Internal Medicine & ENT Care
① For long-term residents who have Employee Health Insurance (kenkô hoken) or National Health Insurance (kokumin kenkôhoken) in Japan
There are two types of health insurance available to those living in Japan. All persons living in the country–both citizens and expats with long-term visas–are required by law to enroll in either an Employee Health Insurance (kenkô hoken) or the country's National Health Insurance (kokumin kenkˆhoken).
② For short-term residents who do not have these health insurances
You will consult a doctor with medical expenses not covered by insurance for long-term residents, and be required to pay with a credit card or cash in Japanese currency at the front desk after your consultation or examinations are over.
Reservations
Please don’t make a phone call because we always don’t have a call-talker in English.
The internet reservation system in Japanese is available for all patients. Also, you can consult a doctor without an appointment, if you can wait a while. After first consultation, you can make an appointment at the front desk.
Our staff are dedicated to providing the excellent care. Your well-being is our primary concern, and we want your stay to be as comfortable as possible.
